Easter Eggs

 

For those of you who don't know what an "Easter Egg" is, it is a hidden bonus feature in a CD, DVD, or Video Game. This page will help other Weird Al fans to find these "Easter Eggs." Below is a list of the Easter Eggs I have found.

"Weird Al" Yankovic The Ultimate Video Collection DVD:

Go to the Extras menu. Go to "The Weird Al Show", press the up arrow, and you will see a video of Al preforming "My Bologna" in 1979.

UHF DVD:

-On the main menu, go to "Audio Options" and press down. The TV knob below will become highlighted. Press select, and you will see a brief scene with Al in the editing room, finishing up UHF, where he gives the film a brief introduction followed by the movie.

-Go to scene selections menu. then go to chapters 13-16 and press down. The thing between the TV knobs will be highlighted. Press select, and you will see a scene from the telethon with Fran.

-Go to the Special Features menu. Then, go to the Commentary icon, press the left arrow. The "Watch for Falling Rocks" sign will be highlighted. Press select, and you will see a clip of Stanley from one of the U62 commercials.

-Go to the Audio Setup menu. Then go to Francais, press the left arrow. This 'Red Snapper' fish will be highlighted. Press Select, and you will see an unused scene with Stanley.

-Put in the UHF DVD into your DVD player.When the main menu pops up, go to the Special Features Menu. Scroll down the list, and if you see an icon pop up next to a feature that informs you that the highlighted feature is on the other side of the DVD, hit select. Weird Al himself will walk onto the screen and personally inform you that you have to turn the DVD over to see that particular feature. Be sure to do it 3 times. Each time he comes out, he gets more and more annoyed with your inability to realize that the feature you're selecting is on the other side! 

- In the commentary, when Stanley locks himself in the office. Al stands up and shouts "STANLEY, THEY'RE COMING THORUGH THE WINDOW! LOOK OUT! THEY'RE COMING THROUGH THE WINDOW!" and they came through the window. 

"Weird Al" Live DVD:

When watching either "The Saga Begins" or "It's All about the Pentiums" music videos you can access commentary tracks by Al. to switch to it, use the audio button on your remote control to access the commentary track.

Poodle Hat CD:

 Insert the CD into your computer and wait for the Menu of the enhanced CD to come up, when on the main menu (that kinda looks like the album cover) press the space bar. And wait a second and watch a special picture of the Yankovic family (Al, Suzanne, and Nina (kinda)) swirl right at you!

Running with Scissors CD:

Insert the CD into your computer, go to "My Computer", and open the CD drive. There you will find a folder with a hidden movie file in it on the CD. The video is from Al's Disney Channel Special.

Bad Hair Day CD:

About 10 seconds before the end of "I Remember Larry" Al sings "Yes I remember, remember, remember" durring this you can hear Al faintly talking gibberish. If you play this part on the song backwards Al is saying "Boy, You Must Have an Awful Lot of Free Time On Your Hands "

Off the Deep End CD:

Play the last song on the CD, "You Don't Love Me Anymore", after the song finishes, let the CD play for a little over 10 minutes. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, you will hear a loud burst a guitar feedback, backwards drumming, and Al screaming at the top of his lungs. It lasts for about 7 seconds. This hidden tidbit is called "Bite Me!". Al says he put it on to scare you to death if you forgot to turn the CD off.

In 3D CD:

Halfway through "Nature Trail to Hell" there is a guitar solo. Listen to the solo and right at the end you will hear some giberish whispering. Play it backwards, and you'll hear Al say "Satan Eats Cheese Wiz!"

Dare To Be Stupid CD:

During "Slime Creatures From Outer Space"  At the end of the song, right after the line "They're really getting on my nerves", if you turn the volume up all the way you will hear Al say "Who ya gonna Call? Slime creatures!"
