ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME!!!
"Weird Al" Yankovic has been around for the past 25 years, which means, he is finally eligible the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame! We can't really say Al has done much in the past 25 years other than he has won 3 Grammy Awards, Nominated 8 times for a Grammy, has over 20 Gold and Platinum records in both the US and Canada, is popular in countries outside of the US such as Canada, Austrailia and Japan, 11 studio albums, 5 compilations, 24 music videos, is the writer and star of UHF which became a top ten DVD best seller, 5 Video Collections that went Gold and Platinum, has appeared on the Billboard chart 24 times, has directed music videos for other artists, has directed his own music videos, is a MTV and VH1 staple, got married to his wife Suzanne, and had a daughter Nina.
This would not be a "Weird Al" fan website if we didn't celebrate this event, and help out as much as we can. Here's where we need the help. We need to convince the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame that Al deserves to have a place in it. Do you want to help get Al in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame? Here's what you gotta do:
Sign the petition at concerts. At the next concert you go to, there will be people standing outside asking if you want to sign the petition. Sign it. The more people we get to sign the petition, the more likely it will be that the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame will notice it. Those people will then send the list of signatures in to the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in hopes that they might respond.
Aren't going to any concerts this tour? You can still help. Sign the petition at http://www.petitiononline.com/weirdal/petition.html. Once again, the more people that sign it, the more likely it will be that the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame will notice it, and give him a place.
